Dear Fields of Grace Member –

It is with joy and thanksgiving that the Fields of Grace Call Committee has recommended a candidate for Pastor. Therefore, the congregations within Fields of Grace Lutheran Parish – Bernadotte, First and Swan Lake – send you this notification of a congregational meeting and vote scheduled for September 22, 2024.

On the morning of the congregational vote, members of the call committee will present specific information about the recommended candidate. Questions will then be invited by the congregation. Once all information has been presented and all questions answered, a private ballot will be conducted. In order to meet synod and state voting guidelines, each congregation will need to have a quorum present in order to proceed with the vote. You must be an official, confirmed member of your congregation to vote, and all members need to vote in the church in which you are a member. You may not vote at another church. Voting needs to be done in person. Please visit with your council president, FOG Council President Jim Bartels or Pastor Mike Zaske if you have any questions about your church constitution’s voting
requirements.

This is an exciting time in the life and future of Fields of Grace! We encourage you to please attend your congregation’s meeting, and ask you to hold the candidate and all FOG members in prayers as we engage in discernment together.
